If I want a whole load of healthy nutrients, lots of tasty food and I don’t have much money to spend on it, this is my number one place to go! The $6 lunch is the best, you get a little bit of everything, including dessert!!

Delicious, affordable vegetarian meals. Who needs needs meet when these meals taste so good!

For a quick getaway meal that is nutritious and healthy, try the vegetarian lasagne and the apple custard pudding; made with organic ingredients and much love xx

Great cheap bite to eat in the evenings, on the way home or the way to a meeting! Favourite is the halava with custard for dessert

Food For Life has been a staple in my life since before I can remember. It's the ever-faithful $5 student meal that gets me! Rice + Chickpea Curry + x3 Pakora + Soup + Dessert... all for $5 (student price, $7 if you're a full time worker!) = It's a steal. So delicious and so healthy and so filling!!! Dream dinner location. You can also grab some take away for those late nights in the office downtown when you're looking for a cheap tasty bite to keep you going!!!

Hare Krishna Food for Life on K Rd offer simple, moreish vegan and vegetarian fare at very palatable prices. Opt for the $6 combo meal (rice, dhal, veggie curry, pakoras and halva dessert), spring for the a $12 option, or keep it simple and grab a couple of pakoras or samosas as a snack. Making the situation even more excellent, they also offer a student discount!

I had a nice combo meal with desert that costed me only $6, and the quantity is very good.

Nothing says 'eat me' like a $5 meal. Even better when that meal is also healthy and delicious. Hare Krishna Food for Life on K Rd covers all these bases, offering a $6 combo meal (rice, dhal, veggie curry, pakoras and halva dessert) they price down to $5 for students. They also have a $12 option - which could feed two or one with a monster appetite - and samosas for $2 each!

this is a deeply moving experiance . soul food for the spirit . go there and enjoy it. .you will leave feeling better . the Krishnas are great people. love it

Delicious vegan food! I get vegan lunch almost everyday when im at uni, the food is amazing and super cheap! At $5 you can’t go wrong. The curries and very flavourful and they often change up the rice. Definitely the best lunch you can get for $5 and you get a very generous serving! Not just for vegans, id definately Recommended to anyone looking for great value and delicious food.
