Otara Flea Markets

For the cheapest fruit and vege in Auckland and the best Rarotongan donuts, you can't go past the Otara Markets. These are the best markets in South Auckland, by far, and a fantastically rich cultural experience. They say the early bird catches the worm so it's best to get in before the sun rises, shop up a storm then devour a beautiful Pacific breakfast.

I love going out to the Otara Flea Markets, there are variety of food stalls, clothing stalls & fruit/vegie stalls and everything is at reasonable prices. My favourite are the Raro donuts you get 12 for $5 and they are freshly made.

Always good for cheap fruit and veges and also to experience the Polynesian culture in NZ

Whats not to love about this place. The friendly people, the endless amounts of nice food from all cultures, the cheap and unique clothing. The best island donuts can be found in the hall and the best pork buns are at the end of the food aisle on the right hand side unless things have changed.
