Late night burgers for those out enjoying the city nightlife. Affordable and they do toasted sandwiches as well, chips and wedges. The aioli they use is amazing. Highly recommend when looking for a feed late, better than going to the drive thrus and they never muck up an order.

The chicken burgers are awesome. He uses that shredded chicken that burger fuel used to use. Awesome feed.

Always a bar food favorite. This is normally what I get when Im ever in Cornerstone for a meal.

All a kid needs. A giant inflatable slide, air guns and ramps to get your kids tired. A cafe for the parents to enjoy while the kids have fun.

Open spaces and playgrounds galore. Something for all kids with a skate rink, mini putt, buggy hire and train rides.

Dog friendly park with bike tracks. If you fancy a walk they have tracks going down to the water and along the estuary.

Kid friendly indoor laser tag so they don’t get too scared off the paintballs, or if they have been naughty somewhere to seek some revenge with the real deal

Ten Pin bowling is always a fun activity for the kids but now have added a full play land for the kids it makes it even better. If they can’t last a whole game of ten pin they can always muck around in the playground.

Down in the city next to Starbucks, this restaurant has been here for a while. Has a large number of regulars and in my opinion the best garlic naan around. They do an awesome butter chicken but for those who like authentic Indian Food they have a variety of dishes I suggest the Korma.

Over in the Mount this restaurant is known for its generous portions and vegetarian dishes. Once again it has a solid number of regulars and has the benefit of being in a hot spot corner site next to Mount Drury. Ive been a couple of times now and am slowly making my way through the menu. The prawn Madras are good.

This is my local and without being biased the best in the area. Its in Greerton and is a little restaurant. They offer 10% discount on takeaways, they are quick, prices are reasonable and the quality is second to none. Parking is never an issue, however I feel after a few reviews from others this may change. A once unknown gem.

In the central city. This place has a $10 Lunch menu for those on the go or on a short lunch break. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and is clean and tidy. Customer service is great. Come here with out of towners quite often and they keep coming back. They cater for all diners; vegan meals, vegetarian, ge free, dairy free, halal, soy free. Great place to dine and enjoy a good curry.

Papamoa based restaurant for those out those ways. You don’t have to travel to the city for a good curry. They have speciality dishes for every taste, vegetarian, halal, dairy and gluten free dishes. $10 lunch time meals for those on the go. If you are ever in Papamoa and feel like a curry this is the place to go.

Always plenty of foot traffic and in the Summer is a gold mine to pick up ladies. Make sure not to be too stalkerish and always keep a safe distance and avoid long awkward staring. I find it a good thing to take a young child for instance a niece or nephew, the ladies love a caring male family figure. Good luck and happy hunting.

In the Summer Time I would say this place is unbeatable with the number of woman. It is however a more youthful crowd on the main beach. Us older folk normally reside down off the main stretch a little bit or across the other side Pilot Bay where its more family friendly. However as a younger man this was the spot to be.

A popular swimming spot with swimming holes everywhere. It is often a place to prove yourself as a young hero with the infamous jumping off the bridge. In close proximity is Poripori which is also another popular swimming hole and provides a few cliffs and ledges to jump off. Not a place to pick up for the reserved and non risk takers.

Friendly service from my man Karl. Good Chinese dishes, nicest sweet n sour pork going round, mix of fish n chips as well its a one stop takeaway.

Nice quick stop for that quick fix of bakery goodness. Butter Chicken pie is pretty good as well as the cream donuts, real cream and real fresh. Perfect combination.

A buffet menu with a wide variety. They specialize in the roasts and always have a signature dish every week. Desert is also included and is always a winner with the kids.

Sushi and Japanese meals at an affordable price. May not have the fancy plates and flash decor but the quality of sushi is just as good or if not better than others. The chicken pieces they use are huge and my favorites are the Spicy Chicken and Creamy Chicken.

An open style Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. In the winter it is closed in and in the Summer is open to enjoy the fresh air and sun. Has the standard Cafe food such as paninis and quiche but also has a bakery right next door if you just want to enjoy bakery food in a cafe setting. Carrot cake is my favorite.

At the base of the Mount Mount Hot Pools has three different temperatures (from a warm pool to hot spa pools) to bathe in. Private spas are available as well as massages. The kids have their own pool also so they don’t splash those who want to relax. Not to mention you get a discount if you're a local - perfect!

In the back streets of Greerton, it has 3 different pools. A shallow pool for the young ones, a 25 metre lap pool and a warmer pool out back. It is all covered. The facility also has a gym upstairs for those who want to train as well.

Off Cambridge Road, the open outdoor hot pool isn’t well known or popular yet. With natural fern and bush surrounding the pool its peaceful. There are private spas on site as well if you don’t want to share.

Opposite Bayfair, Baywave has a wave pool, a kids pool, water games, hydro slide, spa, sauna, steam room and lap pool. For a variety of pools and activities this is the place to come. Awesome for the kids with plenty to do. For those who want to relax theres the spa, steam and sauna. For the gym bunnies there is a gym upstairs to break a sweat before you cool off in the pool.

On Memorial Park, it is an outdoor pool surrounded by kids playgrounds and open spaces. It has a kids pool and a lap pool with the kids pool under a sun shade. There are BBQs on site so you can spend a lunch there with the family.
