Go early if you want the best bakery treats from this legendary Kingsland bakery. The Baker's Cottage (or Connon's Bakery, as it's called by locals in the know) is one of my favourite places for picking up a fresh sandwich or an incredible cake. Their prices are old school bakery style (ie. you can rock up with a few gold coins in your pocket and step out with an incredible treat) but the quality is out of this world. If you're a pie lover or conoissour, go here.
The food cabinet here is a dream. Huge variety for whatever sweet or savoury thing you're craving and it wont cost an arm and a leg. When in the area wanting a solid meal or just a bite to eat, I won't go anywhere else. Make sure you don't go too late in the day however otherwise you might miss out on your favourite dish!
