Great store, get lots of supplies from here.

Great art supply shop. Thanks guys

Great Materials, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Its a very dangerous place to go, as once you enter it is very hard to leave and quite often you come away with a load more of their exciting art materials to try out then first intended. :)

I wander in for the simplest of items, this time rope to hang some paintings, but I am always transfixed by the supplies on the shelves of The French Art Shop. I am not much of a hands on artist but am drawn to the rows of oil sticks, water colour tubes, canvases stacked together and the textural sheets of paper. This shop has a large selection and the staff are at the ready with advice and help if you need it.

The French Art Shop on Ponsonby Road is a local institution, peddling its arty wares for as long as I can remember. They have an extraordinary range of paints, easels, brushes and canvas, as well as a great selection of visual diaries and Moleskine products. Next time the creative mood hits pop in for a visit - you won’t leave empty handed and the staff are fantastic.

The place for art supplies!

I love the French Art Shop. Helpful staff members and amazing stock for the artist (amateur or otherwise) who wants to play with the best materials. Get your fill of 100% cotton paper and European watercolours.

Mark Castle has been a local legend around Ponsonby for years and together with Resene he is helping to sponsor artists to create gorgeous murals to adorn a once ugly site at Soho Square.  After a 2 year period, they will be auctioned off for others to enjoy displaying them elsewhere, like spreading a bit of loveliness around the whole community.

Beautiful product ranges, Great discounts and lovely staff.
