The Rose Irish Pub

Feeling the cold then pop into The Rose for a few “scoops” of mulled wine, or a hearty ale. If you need the temperature turned up a few degrees get some Beef and Guinness Pie into you, along with a wee dram of Irish whiskey, before the popular dish gets run off the menu. The atmosphere is usually steaming but on the other hand if you want more noise join the throng on Monday for quiz night.

The place has a great atmosphere and fun staff. We love going for quiz nights - they do one on monday and wednesday; both are great evenings. Their jugs are great deals.

A good place to stay warm and dry this winter. Try their hearty homemade mulled wine and if this doesn’t warm the cockles of your heart maybe a hot takeaway soup, served with crusty bread to eat on your way home. And in usual Irish style, The Rose is going Mexican, with specials on the menu for Tuesday and Thursday quiz night.

Right in the heart of Napier city but still with all the rustic qualities of an Irish pub. Also offers accommodation upstairs in one of the few Art Deco styled hotels left in town for those planning on travelling from afar for the big day.
