The Storehouse is a unique cafe/florist/design store in Taupo that is well worth a visit.
Opened by Brad Dellar and Sam King, they wanted somewhere to show off all the vintage furniture they'd been collecting and restoring along with a spot for smooth coffee and delicious food.
The designed, painted, built and tiled everything themselves while also joining with Melissa, Brad's wife, who has followed her dream to become a florist within the cafe.

The Storehouse makes a great hot chocolate! I've got a definite sweet tooth for chocolate and their hot chocolate does pass the 'is it chocolatey enough?' test. The adjoining shop also has a great variety of quirky, retro type furniture and knick knacks - great for someone wanting to add an extra spacial touch to their home decor.
Fresh, eclectic interior, beautiful upcycled retro goods and great coffee to top it all off. There are gluten free bagels and buns to have with any of the menu items and there are usually some delicous raw-food sweets and cakes too. Tucked away, this fabulous little spot is well worth trying. My new favourite.
