Situated beside major attractions including Auckland Zoo and MOTAT, the stadium has hosted big name international acts such as the Foo Fighters and Eminem.

The lake is a refuge for the orea eel, with many native trees and bird species to be found in the park including the Pukeko.

Check out the annual Pasifika Festival, one of numerous events held onsite.

great place to go for a walk and safe

Get to hang out with the ducks. Lots of places to play or just chill around.

For the more sedate doggie walk, on the lead of course - can't have the wee thing being harrassed by all those honking geese and scary swan beasts lol. It's much nicer to go here on a sunny day, but you've got to dodge the ducky poo as you wander through the par and over bridges spanning pools of weedy water.

It's always nice taking a stroll. Get to see the ducks, and sometimes hear the lions at the zoo in the evening :)

Check out the geese, swans and swarming masses of eels in one of Auckland's most underrated parks.

nice place to go for a walk:)

Fresh air, swings, ducks, ice cream and more! Something to entertain everyone on a stroll around this free attraction.

We came to Western Springs park over the weekend and had an enjoyable time. My cousins enjoyed watching the ducks and they were so adorable. After our picnic, we took a nice long walk along the park.

Bring on more concerts at Western Springs. I might be  more partial as I live close by, but being that it’s a very central location , there are plenty of ways to get there.
