Best place in Christchurch to get away from things while only being a 15 minute drive from the central city. Stunning views of the Canterbury coastline, a great walk, always plenty of friendly people on it. There is done great surfing at Taylor’s Mistake at one end and some WW2 history with the gun emplacements at the other end.

Some of the best family friendly single track in New Zealand! Great for taking the kids for a lazy Sunday cruise and a picnic. It is equally great for a hard hammer session, how many laps can you do?!

Still some of the best road riding in New Zealand despite being closed at the half way point, stunning views from the Southern Alps to Kaikoura and the climb up to the Sign of the Takahe is always a pleasure. Love this ride!

Shame to see such a lovely building in the state it is in but amazing to see the temporary shrine and exciting to see the changes to come.

Great to see this Christchurch institution right in the middle of the Restart Mall, amazing burgers and a really neat atmosphere in the middle of all the containers!

One of the best selections of ‘left of centre’ books in Christchurch, and there is some of the best coffee and pizza places in the cbd right outside!

Lovely way to spend half an hour with friends or family. Peaceful, great ways and nice to see a different (water level) view of the botanical gardens and Hagley Park.
