- 14This swimming pool is really impressive, the kids will love it! Complete with hydroslides it's a great way for the kids to burn off energy especially during the winter. You can easily spend the whole day there!
- 23Cobblestones MuseumGreytownWe came to Cobblestones last week and had such a great time! Being a mostly outdoor museum it was great for my 4 year old to be able to run around and go on an adventure into the different buildings that make up the museum. It will be something we visit again and again!
- 31Dannevirke Community LibraryDannevirkeThis is a great little library! My daughter is a real bookworm so we visit the library on a weekly basis. They have a great range of books in their kids' area and do a weekly kids club so it's a top spot for the school holidays.
- 41Don't miss this little library, it's a well kept secret! While it is small it has a great range of kids and adults books. We have also started going to their reading group for pre-schoolers on a Wednesday which my daughter loves! They also have free wifi, computers you can use and photocopying services.
- 53Regent 3MastertonWhat kids don't love going to the movies in the holidays! This theatre also has a real charm to it too. It's a great activity that the kids will not be disappointed by especially as winter is approaching!

- 11The Putt HutTerrace EndIf the family want to get out of the house on a rainy day take them to play some mini golf! The course is inside and there is always plenty of car parking out front. A great family fun activity to burn off some energy!
- 22If your kids are over the age of 7 take them to Daytona so they can zip around the track at Daytona! Mum and Dad can join in too and see who is the ultimate race champion! With a range of different carts there is one to suit everybody’s age and ability. Helpful staff and great safety equpment means that everyone will have a great time be sure to book in advance!
- 34CLM Lido Aquatic CentreHokowhituBecause it is winter now and the kids are stuck inside pop down to the Lido so they can burn off some energy! Let them zoom down the water slides or splash around in the toddler pool and they will come home nice and tired! With a fully equip cafe you can have a coffee and watch your kids have a blast in the pool or jump in with them!
- 42If we get a fine day these holidays take a drive to Owlcatraz in Shannon. Pack the gumboots and get up close to their resident farm animals! The kids will love Jonah Low Moo the bull, Owlibaba the Alpaca and Oha Kune the pig! Their family of owls who have names like Owle Macpherson and Owlfalfa the day is sure to be entertaining! The staff know how to keep the kids engaged and there are many oportunities for some great photos to remind you day the kids will never forget!

It's not just about the movie it's about the popcorn, the choc dipped icecreams and the way the lights dim when the movie is about to start! I can't wait to take my daughter for the first time this week!

The cabinets are filled with beautiful cakes, breads and pastries. You can imaging the amazing smell that greets you, great coffee, great food, it doesn't really get any better!
- 22Windfarm Bakery & CafeWoodvilleThis is our go to coffee shop in Woodville, all of the food is great quality and the prices are very reasonable. They make my latte exactly how I like it and my daughter loves their fluffys' with extra marshmallows! They also make a great breakfast and a roast lunch!
- 32Cafe 88WoodvilleThis little cafe has a great garden dining room filled with citrus trees, which is amazing in the summertime. They make a great eggs benedict and have a great selection of herbal teas. This is a great coffee spot if you are passing through woodville, the locals love it too!

The spacious cafe is always full of locals having coffee or grabbing something for lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious, I especially love their lamb and mint jelly sandwiches and the blueberry tarts!

If you are after a healthy lunch at work or something quick to take home for dinner this is the hottest spot in Palmy! They also stock the best raw organic chocolate which is a great treat for after your amazing meal!
- 22The Sushi ShopPalmerston North CentralI stumbled upon The Sushi Shop this week, I was blown away by all the different varieties of sushi they had displayed in their cabinets! Not just the boring chicken and avocado rolls here! My husband was convinced he hated sushi until we came here. It’s a great cheap eat for summer you can fill yourself up with less than $15 easy, although it will be tempting to try everything!
