When Chokolato first opened in the Downtown Mall a few years ago I was intrigued! On my first visit I was met with freezers filled with many different flavours of gelato which is an Italian dessert. It’s light, creamy and satisfying. I especially love the fruit flavours but the classic chocolate is also amazing! Gelato is also dairy free!

I can barely walk past this bright pink ice cream shop without my daughter asking me to stop! All of their ice cream is delicious and I especially love the classic single scoop in a cone! They always have great specials on which makes a treat even better when it's great value for money!

A must stop for ice cream in Wanganui! All of your classic favorites, my husband can not go past a goody gumdrop double scoop with a chocolate dip! Great value for money and the staff know how to make a decent scoop!

This will be the first summer the real fruit ice cream will be open and even in winter there are people lining up for ice cream! The same family who own the fruit shop next door have opened a little ice cream and coffee shop so you know it really is fresh fruit! So delicious and great value for money definately a must visit!

This was my guilty pleasure when I was pregnant! They have great ice cream flavours and everything is affordable! If you need a little bit or a lot of ice cream they can make it perfectly with all the toppings. A great place to grab a cheap dessert before heading upstairs to the cinema!
