- 11Tararua Wind FarmWoodvilleWhen you're in town they look like little figures on top of the hill but when you get up there, wow! These wind turbines are massive and something you really need to see up close to appreciate them. Take a good coat because it get really windy up there but so worth it!
- 21Don't miss this little library, it's a well kept secret! While it is small it has a great range of kids and adults books. We have also started going to their reading group for pre-schoolers on a Wednesday which my daughter loves! They also have free wifi, computers you can use and photocopying services.
- 32Masterton District Council LibraryMastertonTo me a perfect winter evening is a nice warm fire, slippers and good book! My library card gets the most use over the winter months. They have a great selction of both kids and adults books so you'll never run out of great books to read!
- 41Martinborough Memorial SquareMartinboroughThis is such a beautiful place to stop and have a picnic. It's shaded by beautiful trees and their is plenty of room for the kids to run around. This is also the venue for heaps of free events in Martinborough like the big Martinborough Fair!
- 54I could spend hours wandering around this museum, there are a number or art and history exhibits at the moment and it's the perfect way to spend an afternoon when it's raining outside! Entry is by gold coin donation so it's practically free!

Their new playground complete with a full play kitchen, dress ups and construction site make for hours of fun! The permanant exhibits of bugs, butterflies and shells make for hours of discovery and many areas for play. It is Palmerston North’s best indoor entertainment for kids and adults alike and it’s free!
