Carla and H.'s
Our Tauranga favourites
- 148The PhoenixTaurangaThis is where we like to head for an afternoon wine with the girls. It has excellent tapas. We love snacking and chatting.
- 27Te Puna Quarry ParkTe PunaThe council recently purchased this quarry and have turned it into a really cool National Park and we love to take our kids there to play. There’s a Maori pa at the top and on a nice day you can see White Island and a 360 degree pan of the entire bay. It’s absolutely beautiful!
- 310Phil's Place RestaurantTaurangaWhen we wanted to film our two-minute video to enter The Amazing Race, this is where we went to take the original shots. We sat by the water, sipped G and T’s, looked at the Mount in the background and planned how we could win this thing. It’s a great place to take visitors if you want to enjoy drinks by the water.
- 45Volare TaurangaTaurangaOne of our favourite restaurants in Tauranga, there are too many good dishes here to recommend just one. You need to try them all! And if you have hungry mouths to feed, they do really generous portion sizes. It’s a great night out.
- 53The Historic VillageTauranga SouthThis is one of the places we recommend visitors to Tauranga check out because it is so unique. For Carla, it has a particularly special place in her heart because of its links to her whanau and ancestry, plus it’s also where the dance instructor has her offices and studio. We love the fact that it’s like stepping back in time and reckon visitors will too!
