As a musician, I love watching other incredible musos play live and so I was super-stoked when I heard about Together NYE, being held at Everybody's and Roxy in Auckland's Imperial Lane. With a cast of amazing DJs and performers, this will be a night to remember as Auckland man-about-town Nick D returns from Japan and joins forces with fellow producer Dick Johnson to perform as their incredibly versatile live act, Weird Together. Bringing some of their producer friends from around the globe to perform at this one-off New Year festival, Together NYE is a chance to shake off the shackles of the old year and get your zoot suit on to ring in a new one. Go on, shake your tail feather!

Went on Friday night for a 4 course chef's tasting menu. Was amazing, as we didn't know what we were going to have and I wouldn't have ordered any of the things I ate if I'd had the choice off a menu, but every course was delicious. #foodfave :)

This is just next to The Roxy, it is a new establishment as well. By day this is an eatery with, by the way, the best Japanese in town. There is a vast indoor/outdoor area which in all covers quite a big expanse of space. It seems like these amazing places just popped up overnight and became wildly popular with everyone in town. By night, this place turns into a trendy place to have a dance and get a vino or 6. Great place to come for some after work drinks, especially if you are on the hunt for a rich boyfriend as this place to suited up to the nines. Handy tip for all the gold diggers out there.

Awesome place with lots of different areas including the dance floor, awesome outside area, upstairs booths and balcony. Really good music  and fantastic food here too!

Hidden down Fort Street, this is a bar not to be missed. Sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere. Attracts a range of age groups. Gets busy after 11pm, with a good space for dancing.

The popular Everybody’s in the Imperial Lane has had a bit of a makeover last Winter, turning officially Japanese under new moniker Everybody’s Izakaya. It is now serving up deliciously inspired food courtesy of head chef Nick Honeyman, and the menu will have you salivating from first read. The service is informal enough to relax you but just attentive enough to impress, and if you are on a first date the incredible cocktail list will most definitely help break the ice. The Autumn Elixir and Tokyo Serenity are two of my faves, or there is a huge sake list that includes a delicious sparkling option. Make sure to book if you want an upstairs booth.

A really great inner city bar with restaurant (Roxy's). Open air bar so its pretty cool to look up and see the night sky. Drinks are a bit pricy but a really great place to have a wine and catch up with friends.

Fabulous alfresco dining in the heart of Auckland city! Great staff and divine food!

Beautiful place, great atmosphere. Is classy without being stuffy or uptight. The drinks are a tad pricy but when you're in a place like that you're really paying for the atmosphere, so it's worth it.

Everybody’s is gorgeous bar, with a lovely outdoor courtyard. Nestled conveniently in the CBD, it has an entrance on Queen st and Fort lane.
