Every Sunday from 5:30 PM, the covered carpark of Glenfield's Westfield Shopping Centre transforms into a foodie's delight. Take your tastebuds on an international trip, as there are stalls with tasty treats from all over the world, from tacos, churros, kebabs and popcorn to fresh fruit ice-cream, baked bread, produce, curry, dumplings and more. Great food at cheap prices and a buzzing atmosphere.

Ok folks, forget the Sunday roast this weekend, there’s an evening food fiesta happening in Glenfield and the whole family’s welcome. Instead of spending an entire Sunday afternoon minding the stove, use that time constructively...maybe finish that book you started? Take that walk around the block? Get a perm? There is an unbelievable amount of choice for dinner at these weekly markets which are set up in the covered Westfield car park. We’re talking a taste of Italy with a mint chocolate ice cream at the gelato stand, banoffi pie made by a lovely lady each week specially for the markets, this deliciously strange sweet pancake, ham and cheese concoction from Hippopotamus Cakes, a deep fried potato on a stick, fresh churros… I’ve been there for the last three weeks and feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface. In fact, you know what? I don’t even like Sunday roast any more.
