When we wanted to film our two-minute video to enter The Amazing Race, this is where we went to take the original shots. We sat by the water, sipped G and T’s, looked at the Mount in the background and planned how we could win this thing. It’s a great place to take visitors if you want to enjoy drinks by the water.
Went for Lunch on Sunday the 6th to celebration a few Birthdays with a mix of Great Grand Parents, the trendy Grand Parents(that's obviously me and the Wife) the Parents and our beautiful Grand Daughter. From the moment we arrived all was made to feel so welcome by the fantastic hostesses and Staff. Drinks arrived soon afterwards and Meals to talk about for some time arrived in perfect time. Staff checked on us just enough to feel cared for but not crowed and the tariff was a plesanet surprise. Thank you all for making all of our day. Phil's place has now become OUR place! It wasn't enough being the drummer from AC/DC for Tauranga restauranteur Phil Rudd. He always wanted to open his own restaurant that showcased local flavours and on Tauranga waterfront, he's done just that. Stop in to rub shoulders with one of metal's most famous drummers and get a decent bite to eat. What's not to love!
Owned by Phil Rudd, Drummer for ACDC. How cool is that?! Last summer I did a show in Tauranga and the promoters partner turned out to be Phil’s daughter so they took us there the following day for lunch. Right on the Marina, the food is amazing and it’s full of rock memorabilia. A must for all rock fans.
