    Sandfly make some of the best brunches in Te Anau, and here’s why. Every day their muffins change - expect banana and chocolate chip, blueberry and lemon, tomato spinach and cheese, blackberry and choc chip or bacon and blue cheese. The list goes on. For their brunches you can choose from their menu or their ever changing specials like toasted bagel with bacon, tomato, cream cheese and pesto or gluten free pumpkin, pinenut and feta fritters.

    Mrs Clark’s won the ‘Cafe of the Year’ award in 2012, voted by Cafe magazine. This little space is kitschy, cute and cosy. The brunches are good and the coffee (made using Havana coffee from Wellington) is pretty darn great. It’s definitely worth making a trip to the bottom of the South Island for this little cafe.

If you are after something light to start the day there is a good selection of homemade baking, muffins and scones, along with the more hearty option of soup, pies and seafood chowder. Great Southland food!

Their all day menu has great options which will have you full and happy. The fresh fruit salad is some of the best in town and the sweet lemon pancakes are AMAZING.

Their all day brunch menu on Sundays features brioche French toast, smoked salmon with apple and dill and granola with figs all local honey. Bookings are recommended!
