Late one brisk night we were on the hunt for somewhere to relax and eat something hearty. We live in Eden Terrace so had been past this place hundreds of times but had never managed to make the trek inside. Once we did we realized what we had been missing out on. The environment at Galbraith's is so inviting - it's like a warm hug with beer. We both had venison burgers which to be honest were melt in your mouth delicious. I love trying different beers and its awesome that these guys brew their own on-site. Great food, ambiance and beer. We will be back for seconds.

Great vibe and great drinks! Easy to get to location

A casual and relaxed, cozy atmosphere for an after work drink or catchup with friends. Love Galbraiths house Resurrection Ale... can't beat it.

Since 1995, Galbraiths has been one of the most respected breweries in the country. ‘Beer purist’ and pub owner, Keith Galbraith, is well renowned for his fine cask-conditioned ‘real ales’ and European inspired lagers, which are all brewed on site and have educated and satisfied many Kiwi patrons. There’s always around 14 of Galbraiths own on tap/hand pump, plus five rotating guest beers of which at least one changes weekly, as well as the recent addition of one or two gravity fed kegs on the bar. Of course, there’s around 60 additional varieties available by the bottle also. For the last month there’s been a bit of hype around their new Czech Style Pilsner and New American Pale Ale which are well worth a swig. Every Sunday from now and through summer, Galbraiths beer garden and BBQ area will host live jazz which is more than ideal for getting into one of their tasting racks, or a long Sunday lunch with ya pals. Cheers!

Galbraith's is such a good place to get a beer and some good honest pub food. I recommend getting a beer 'sampler' to try out some of their range and then asking for a flagon or growler to buy through their off licence to take home and enjoy. #Greatcraftbeer #Darkhorse

I love the range of beers that are constantly changing and the fact that they brew on premises.

I love the selection of yummy dishes on the food menu especially the Bangers and Mash meal. I like how they have regular items and seasonal dishes. And I especially love the wide range of ales available for trying. There is always something new to check out here.

Glabraiths does a spectacular pub dinner. The lamb curry is delicious and the fries, thin cut with the potato skin still on, are so good my partner and I have been talking about them since we ate here. The building is historic and full of character, and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Good one

Great old pub feel. Worth a stop for any serious beer lover.
