Prego Restaurant

Prego consistently deliver. Great wine, great service, great food. 

Prego is absolutely fantastic. I often go here for late lunches with work and every time I have been here the food and service has been fantastic. They really are a cut above the rest. Parking is a little tricky on Ponsinby Road but lots of side streets to find places. They accomodate larger groups very well and have never been served by such onto it wait staff.

I love this Ponsonby local for the food and the service!

Prego is one of my favourite restaurants in Auckland. The food is always delicious and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend!

Prego is one of my all-time favourite restaurants in Auckland. I can't remember it ever not being there. And that's what it's like - an old friend that's reliable and doesn't change too much. It's not so much the food I come to Prego for, but the total experience. Whether it's a dinner for two, a large boozy group, or a weekend lunch. The food is simple Italian (not sure what region it would be) and satisfying.

Nice Atmosphere had a friends 30th here on Saturday night very full. Food looked great as long as it wasn't the Lamb was disappointed in this from a Italian restaurant as I love Italian as  spent some time in Italy. Everything else great food service sure want to go back and try some other meals. The service with one of the young girls could have been just a bit more frequent by paying attention when drinks are empty. Thanks other than that.

One of our favourite restaurants in Auckland.   Divine food, wonderful service in great Ponsonby Road setting. We always have the calamari to start followed by  surf n turf and it never fails to disappoint. Would never hesitate to come back.

Prego is always full - for good reason: the food and service are consistently of a high standard and (because it's full - the cycle perpetuates) a fantastic buzz is in the air, lunch or dinner, any day of the week.  I've been twice in the past month and both times thoroughly enjoyed myself. Everything we ate was good, bold flavours lightened by delicate touches here and there - though there were a couple of weak spots - see below. The drinks list is great - I've had some beautiful rustic Italian reds as well as some really good NZ choices, well recommended by the waitstaff. Overall, I'd happily keep returning to one of the best places on Ponsonby Rd - for decades more to come, I hope.
