A permanent fixture on the ‘best restaurant’ lists since 1986, Prego still stands tall as one of the best dining choices in Ponsonby. An emphasis on simple Italian food with the best-quality ingredients means Prego’s menu features some firm favourites, with many seasonal variations to surprise and delight even the pickiest ‘foodie’.

Alfresco and indoor dining, fabulous award-winning food and friendly and attentive staff – running a great restaurant is an art, yet Prego makes the whole experience seem effortless. And for that we say ‘grazie’.

Prego is so cosy at the moment, they have the outside heaters roaring and the inside of the restaurant is toastie.  Perfect spot for a winter meal.

Amazing Italian food with a great ambience. Good cocktails. Friendly staff. Got to love the homemade bread

Lovely :)

IM back for my fortnightly fix at Prego. Yes I come here a lot and I think it still deserves to be 'loved' They have got it right here, other restaurants should figure out what they are doing and do it as well as them. It works for me!!

Great food and enviornment.

Hello Prego you are always outstanding. Tonight I ordered the special and special it was. Lamb Ragu……amazing

If you are a seafood lover then you cannot go past this marinara. It's jammed-packed with fresh and delicious seafood! I can't wait to eat this again.

Never a bad meal. Always great service. One of those places that you can always depend on to deliver.

Prego has been an establishment in Ponsonby for what feels like a million years. Its always busy because its always great. The Market Fish is my go-to, and whenever I am with someone who hasn't been before, I always suggest to get it - it never fails to impress
