My favourite pubs in New Zealand

"This isn't necessarily the closest pub to my house but it's my first choice when I want to go to a pub near home. It has two separate areas easily thought of as the working-man's half (complete with leaners, darts, pokies room and a TAB) and the family half (more comfortable to bring the kids or your Mum and Dad!). The food is solid, tasty, well made pub grub and being a family owned pub (they live upstairs) the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. They also have one of the best beer gardens you could ever want. Look out Summer! The beer selections could be a bit broader for my likings but that is the only thing I could be critical about."
