    Hello Sunday
    Sydenham
A local favourite, Hello Sunday has been taking Christchurch by storm with their amazing breakfasts and excellent coffee. Head down to this Sydenham-based cafe and enjoy the beautiful setting (in an old church!) and lovely staff.
  2. 2
    4
    Lyttelton Coffee Company
    Lyttelton
Recently re-opened LCC is once again taking Lyttelton by storm. This cafe is massive and is full every hour of every day. This is because the decor is unlike anything you’ll see in Christchurch and the coffee is superb. They use their own coffee too!
  3. 3
    1
    The Turenne Akaroa
    Akaroa
This coffee shop is very cool. This Akaroa business is a cafe and a dairy. So pick up your bread and milk with your flat white any day of the week! A great little hangout, this place is worth while visiting for its excellent espresso.

    Vudu Cafe
    Queenstown
Who doesn’t love Vudu? This place is epic. The food is beyond amazing and the coffee is produced fast (great if you’re nursing a bit of a hangover from the night before). There are two Vudu cafes so if the main one is busy then go down to the mini version around the corner.
  3. 3
    2
The Courthouse Cafe & Bar Restaurant
    Alexandra
This delightful old courthouse was built in 1876 and became a cafe in 2009. The space is gorgeous and the staff busily churn out coffee after coffee all day long. They really know their stuff. Wash your coffee down with an array of delicious cabinet food.
  4. 4
    8
    Riverstone Kitchen
    Oamaru
Riverstone Kitchen is becoming quite legendary. To be found outside of Oamaru, RK is famous for their locally grown produce (so local it’s grown in their backyard), tasty food, and of course, their great coffee. This is the place to take the family, kick up your feet and relax.
  5. 5
    3
    Cafe Mondo Arrowtown
    Arrowtown
Cafe Mondo is the longest serving cafe in Arrowtown so they definitely know their coffee. Producing large quantities of coffee for the longest time in this small ex-gold mining town means their coffee is some of the best around. The large space has great indoor and outdoor flow which means you can enjoy this cafe in the summer and the winter.
