This place is monster. Located in Hamilton's new state of the art multiplex and home of NZ's largest screen (26 metres wide). Luxury seating and in-theatre dining. They also offer D-Box, where the seats move in sync with the action. Next level viewing.

Brand new and fully refurbished. It's a boutique cinema and the movies they show aren't exactly my cup of tea but she will love it, c'mon take one for the team lol.

Not a big franchise cinema but still just as good and the seats are the comfiest!

What's cool is they show a range of independent films in their intimate boutique cinemas as well as all the mainstream films. Something for all types of movie enthusiasts.

Road tripped down to Masterton this weekend just gone for a wedding and we stopped off here for breakfast. Awesome sausage rolls, huge with flaky pastry and big chunks of onion (big sausage roll fan lol) - adding it to the ritual stops.

My favorite place to go in the morning after a night out in Hamilton, right on the main street so always close to our accom. They open till the early hours also so you can head there after the club closes (along with the rest of Hamilton) and get a feed before making your way home.

I was once a firm believer that if Bacon was inside a pie the only thing that should accompany it was Egg. After reluctantly trying a Steak, Cheese and Bacon from this place, I was converted.

I stumbled (literally) across this place after a gig one morning looking for a hangover fix, and I’m glad I did. Their Chicken & Vegetable was a winner at this years pie awards.

Really popular spot in Napier and as most of the locals will tell you the best chinese in town. Started my night off with the wings which are pretty famous I hear and I’m not surprised, was impressed with how fast they serve too. Right opposite the Municipal Theatre so it’s a good place to grab something to eat pre-show.

Used to love this place when it was 'Magic Wok' and was happy to find not much if anything has changed. Still do the bomb spare ribs and the salt and pepper squid is good too.

I used to spend quite a lot of time in Gisborne and became a regular at China Palace, whether it was getting takeaways downstairs or hitting the buffet upstairs. This place is a local icon and safe to say some of the best chinese food in the country and the best part is it’s cheap as chips.

At first glance you'd assume this was just your average chinese takeaways, but you'd be wrong. The place itself is small yes, but the food is far from it. All your chinese favorites and as much as you can handle. I'm not the biggest dessert fan but I always have some of their cheesecake to finish off - it's the one.

Highly recommended to me from locals and I can see why. Their chicken wings were too good, could have filled my plate with just those alone…ok I did lol.

The name says it all, Dave as well as his team and parlour are iconic to the Waikato. Would highly recommend here for anyone wanting colour work done, some of their stuff has to be seen to be believed.

Something cool and different they have here is 'Crossfit Kids' with classes for 5-18 year olds, great idea.

I’m a member of Snap so love the fact that when I’m anywhere that has one I can just walk in and train whenever I want to. 24 hours and state of the art equipment. The Napier branch also has a large variety of group classes and bootcamps.

This place is cool - dine in, get them takeaway or enjoy them in the chilled couch area. They are all about health too with gluten free, low carb and vegetarian options available.

Probably most popular Kebab shop in town. Best thing is how late they stay open - Till midnight on weekdays and 5am on weekends so you can grab a kebab after a big night on the town.

Used to be a ritual stop for me on the long drive back home to Masterton. They don’t hold back, the Kebabs are huge which always made the second leg of the journey that little bit harder on a super full stomach. No complaints though!

We were in town for a show and I told the promoter take me to the best Kebab shop in town - we went here. He wasn’t lying either, so good. Lamb with garlic yoghurt, chilli and hummus, game over.
